Officers
The officers are President - Faye Bailey, Vice President - Joey Lewis, Recording Secretary -
Barbara Campbell, Treasurer - Raymond Bailey and Show Coordinator - Larna Smith.
Our President Faye Bailey brings years of experience of planning the Apple Festival for the
Unicoi Chamber of Commerce. Most of all, she brings a passion for Blue Ridge Pottery! Her
husband Raymond Bailey is our new treasurer. He is a native of Erwin and is an avid
supporter of her and all her endeavors. The Erwin Record wrote a wonderful story about their
family, their passion for this great pottery and their vision for the Club in the April 24, 2007
edition.
Our secretary Barbara Campbell and her late husband Billy Jack Campbell have collected and
sold Blue Ridge Pottery for many years. Barbara and Billy Jack had a booth in the Hanging
Elephant and later were partners with Maxie English in their Blue Ridge shop.
Our other officers - Joey Lewis and Larna Smith - are well known as avid Blue Ridge dealers
and collectors.
A Message from our President
Special Thanks
Welcome to the Annual Blue Ridge Pottery Show. We are so happy you have joined us in
sharing our love of Blue Ridge Pottery and we dedicate this show to the "young and the young
at heart".
Many thanks to our former Southern Pottery workers, for without them, we would not have our
lovely dishes today. Our club is blessed to have several painters still active and they will be
joining us throughout the show, so please make them welcome.
Our sincerest appreciation to you, our vendors, for making our show possible and to the many
collectors, always in search of another treasure to add to their collections.
To our Town of Erwin, Town of Unicoi and Unicoi County Officials, Merchants and School
Board, we extend our heartfelt thanks for making this show possible.
To my "Team Blue Ridge", you are the best and I thank each and everyone of you (including
the husbands!) for your support.
Always in keeping with our Mission Statement, "To promote and perpetuate the heritage of
Blue Ridge Pottery and uphold the rich history of Southern Potteries for future generations".
Looking forward to bigger and better in 2009.
Gratefully, I am
Faye L. Bailey, President
