Welcome to the Blue Ridge Pottery Club online. THE 28TH ANNUAL BLUE RIDGE POTTERY SHOW AND
SALE
October 4 - 6, 2007
The Blue Ridge Pottery Club has a new location for the show this
year. It has a slate of new officers and an exciting agenda for the coming year.
With the celebration of the 50th year since the closing of the Southern Pottery,
we are planning several activities. Several new vendors are anxious to
participate in this year's show. We are embracing all the exciting changes and
look forward to your new ideas and valuable participation to assure these
changes are successful. This year's show will be held at the
Unicoi County Middle School's Gymnasium and Common Area located at 600 South
Mohawk Drive. The school is located between the Unicoi County High School and
the Vocational School. Click here for a map to the show and sale.
Easy access is available to the vendors for loading and
unloading. There is an abundance of parking areas. Van services will be
provided as usual, to and from the downtown area. Pick-up will be at the corner
of Elm Street and Love Street. This is the location of the Elm Restaurant and
the Erwin Utilities building. 25+ vendors, several new
vendors, as well as many of our favorite vendors of past shows, will be setting
up their pottery at this new location. John and Francis Ruffin, authors of several
Blue Ridge books will be available to autograph and photograph unusual Blue
Ridge Pottery. We hope to see everyone at this new location. The
following are ideas we need to emphasize once again:
We look forward to seeing you this year at the show. We have
reserved the upstairs of the Fire House Restaurant on Wednesday, October 3rd at
6:00pm for our annual "pig eating'" time. Any exhibitors and club
members are invited. We will return to Larna's to finish with fat-free dessert.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend either place.
Looking Forward to Positive Changes
